China suspends plan to impose extra tariffs on US energy, agricultural products

China has suspended its plan to impose additional tariffs on a list of US goods, including propane, corn and wheat, which were slated to have been implemented from December 15, the State Council’s Tariff Commission said in a statement Sunday on the Ministry of Finance website.

Due to the outcome of recent consultations between China and the US on economic and trade issues, the State Council’s Tariff Commission has decided temporarily not to implement tariffs on some US-origin goods, the commission said in the statement.
